Why We Exist

My name is Steven Neaves and I am a passionate lover of music, if you have found your way here, I assume you are too. I started this music blog because I felt like there was a chasm in people who spoke about music in my circles. On one hand, you have the industry giants and gatekeepers: your Billboard and Rolling Stone, but on the other hand, you have influencers who attend a dozen concerts and have a different outfit each night. I felt like there was a voice missing in the middle: the fan talking about their love of music, so that's what I want to do here at "Between the Encore".

I want to look back into the past to see how music has changed, provide commentary on the music that is making me excited today, discover new live music experiences, and share all of that with you.

Music isn’t just something we press play on, it’s something we live. "Between the Encore" is a space for passionate fans who crave more than just the songs; we pursue the memories that make them unforgettable.
